Bactigras is an antiseptic tulle gras dressing made from open weave gauze impregnated with soft paraffin containing 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate BP.
Bactigras is soothing and non-adherent and allows easy wound drainage. Ideal for minor burns, skin loss wounds, lacerations and abrasions.
- Used on infected wounds to suppress bacterial growth and to encourage healing
- Applied directly onto the wound
- Needs a secondary wound dressing to hold it in place
- Does not absorb wound exudate
